Happy Secretary's Day to E.K. Baker's secretaries! We truly have the best! Thank you both for everything you do for our school and students!

Congratulations to our 6th and 7th grade 4H Clover Bowl teams for coming in 1st place! Congratulations to our 8th grade 4H Clover Bowl team for coming in 2nd place! Thank you Mrs. Rue and Mrs. Miller for sponsoring our teams!

Our 8th grade students had a special guest speaker, Mr. Jake, visit them today to help wrap up their Holocaust unit. Mr. Jake is a Holocaust survivor, and our students enjoyed hearing his story. We are so thankful Mr. Jake came to visit! A special thank you to school board member, Mike Cochran for his support and for introducing Mr. Jake to E.K. Baker. Another special thank you to our 8th grade ELA teacher, Mrs. Heather Scheutzow for bringing awareness of the Holocaust to our students.

Today, we had a ribbon cutting for our newest addition at E.K. Baker! Our book vending machine was purchased for our school by our PTO. Students with perfect attendance during the third nine weeks of school were able to choose a book from the book vending machine. Thank you PTO for your continuous support of our students!

Congratulations to Alayna Slater and Wyatt Gable on receiving the 2021-2022 Optimist Club Award!

Spirit Week is next week, October 25th-29th.

On September 22nd, before classes started, some of our middle school students elected to take part in the "See You At The Pole" event. The "See You At The Pole" event is simply a time when students can choose to gather around the school flag pole and have a time of prayer.
