To encourage good attendance the Warrior Words Initiative will reward students and teachers for good attendance. Each day that a homeroom class has 100% perfect attendance, including the teacher, they earn a letter of one of the Warrior Words. When they have earned all the letters of that word, the class and teacher get a reward. Once they complete a word, they move on to the next word.
In all there are nine words, WOW, GOOD, GREAT, SUPERB, AWESOME, TERRIFIC, WONDERFUL, FANTASTIC, and MAGNIFICENT and INSPIRATIONAL.! They will also receive a sign to hang outside the classroom indicating which level they have completed. They will also receive a shout out on our school Facebook and web pages.
Below are the Warrior Words and rewards:
WOW – 15 minutes of extra recess
GOOD – hat day (or if you do not want to wear a hat you get a free pencil) for students
GREAT – popcorn party for the students
SUPERB - pajama day for students and pajama
AWESOME - ice cream party
TERRIFIC – play day to play board or card games
WONDERFUL – sweet treat (cookies or cupcakes)
FANTASTIC - electronics day for students
MAGNIFICENT – slushies of snow cones
INSPIRATIONAL- pizza party

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This morning, McMinn County Schools was notified of a potentially armed suspect on the run in connection with an overnight criminal investigation. Out of an abundance of caution, we have placed our schools under a Secure status.
What does "Secure" mean?
A Secure Action is taken when there is a potential threat or hazard outside the school building. All students and staff are brought inside, and all exterior doors are locked to secure the building. Please note: Classes are continuing as normal inside. Instruction is not interrupted, and students remain safe and supervised.
If needed, access to and from the building will be limited and monitored by our School Resource Officer (SRO) to ensure everyone's safety.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed of any updates.
Thank you for your continued support and trust.
Sincerely,
McMinn County School District
