✅ Sarah Dixon shared the science behind making soap with our students. She explained the need for each ingredient, including milk from her own goats. Students were able to wash their hands with the soap and received a copy of the recipe.

✅Ranger Armstrong, from the Hiwassee Scenic River State Park, visited with our students to speak about Tennessee native species. He brought along a couple birds of prey and a snake. He explained the importance of protecting our natural resources.

🦉We had a visit from Charlene Such with the McMinn County Living Heritage Museum today. She taught us about owls and completed an activity with our students.

Mr. Jim Brooks shared some Appalachian music and folk tales with our kiddos. Everyone was able to sing and play instruments for 'The Burnt Bean' band.

Mrs. Swanson is our Assistant Principal at Rogers Creek. She is with us a couple days each week. While here, she is always out interacting with our students and taking care of attendance.
Outside of school, Mrs. Swanson loves to spend time with her family, especially her two kiddos. She is also an avid reader.

🧺 MPP - After school Program 🧺
Our 3rd - 5th grade students were visited by Ms. Charlene Such from the Living Heritage Museum last week. She shared the skill of basket weaving. Our students had a great time creating their own baskets.
